Josh "Coninha" Silveira is a former two-division LFA champion and one of the most complete grapplers in the PFL middleweight division. Raised in South Florida and trained at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Silveira carries a lineage that runs through the foundation of Brazilian jiu-jitsu in American MMA. He has competed at both light heavyweight and middleweight in PFL, and his move to 185 pounds has positioned him as a developing threat in a loaded division.
Silveira grew up inside American Top Team, the gym co-founded by his father Conan Silveira, whose own career traces through the Carlson Gracie BJJ lineage. That environment shaped Josh into a complete competitor before he ever turned professional. At Arizona State University, he won the Pac-12 wrestling championship in 2016, adding a high-level wrestling credential to a BJJ background that runs deeper than most fighters in the sport. He captured the LFA Light Heavyweight Championship and later the LFA Middleweight Championship, becoming a two-division titleholder on the regional circuit before earning his PFL opportunity.
In the 2023 PFL season at light heavyweight, Silveira advanced all the way to the Light-heavyweight final against Impa Kasanganay, proving he could perform against the top of the PFL roster. His transition to middleweight has continued with a unanimous decision over Mike Shipman, establishing him among the top ten in the PFL Middleweight division.
