CAREER NOTES
Aleksandr "Pretty Boy" Chizov is a Professional Fighters League lightweight from Riga, Latvia, who has established himself as one of the most dangerous finishers in the 155-pound division. Standing 6'0" and training out of Allstars Training Center alongside UFC contender Khamzat Chimaev, Chizov brings Baltic grit and elite-level striking to every cage he enters. He holds regional titles in both lightweight and welterweight, making him one of the most accomplished fighters to emerge from Latvian MMA, and he arrived on the global PFL stage as a two-time Latvian Combat Sambo champion. Alex Chizov does not wait for openings. He creates them. His combination of power and technical precision in the striking game has made him one of the most compelling lightweight prospects in the Professional Fighters League.
Chizov turned professional in 2016 and built his craft through regional promotions, where he compiled a string of early stoppages that drew international attention. He is a striking-first fighter with a right hand that carries genuine knockout power, and his record of stoppages across multiple promotions underlines just how consistently he converts pressure into finishes. His Combat Sambo foundation gives him functional grappling tools as well. He has submitted opponents with both a rear-naked choke and a triangle choke, proving he is not limited to the stand-up.
Chizov made his PFL debut in the 2022 Playoffs, submitting Omar Hussein by rear-naked choke in the second round at PFL 9 to announce himself on the global stage. He earned his spot in PFL Europe, where he captured the 2025 Lightweight Tournament title in commanding fashion, stopping Mark Ewen by TKO in the opening round, defeating Claudio Pacella by split decision in the semifinals, and then delivering a knockout that announced him to a global audience at PFL Lyon in December 2025. In the finals against Connor Hughes at LDLC Arena, Chizov landed a right hand in Round 3 that put Hughes out cold and delivered the PFL Europe Lightweight Tournament gold to Latvia.
