LONDON - February 24, 2025: The Professional Fighters League (PFL) today announced Darren Russell as International Director of Marketing Digital and Content. After having supported the organisation from his independent marketing company since 2019, he will now work directly for PFL to continue his efforts growing the company’s digital presence, having successfully led the digital growth of PFL Europe in 2024, alongside Bellator Champions Series and most recently, Dubai Champions Series.

In this role, Russell will oversee, consult and implement marketing, digital and social activations on international events, with a supporting role for US-based fight nights. Russell has 11+ years of experience in combat sports, most notably launching Eagle FC with MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov. Russell has also worked with a range of combat sports stars including Floyd Mayweather, Islam Makhachev and Cris Cyborg.

Based in the UK, Russell will report to PFL Europe’s GM David Green and Vice President of Global Brand Chris Blumberg on international marketing, and will play a pivotal role in international Champions Series, PFL Europe, PFL MENA, PFL Africa and more events outside the US.
