NEW YORK – April 1, 2025 - The Professional Fighters League (PFL), proudly welcomes Kennedy Smith as its new Cageside Reporter and Greg Hamilton as SmartCage Announcer. Smith and Hamilton’s infectious aura will make them great additions to the PFL’s broadcast as it strives to provide the highest quality of production and entertainment.

Kennedy Smith, an accomplished sports reporter and host with a diverse background in athletics and broadcasting, will serve as Cageside Reporter, getting final thoughts before athletes step into the SmartCage and instant reactions following their performance.

She began her career as a standout hurdler at Texas A&M, where she earned All-SEC honors and finished as the sixth fastest in program history. After finishing a sports management degree in graduate school, Kennedy pursued a career in sports reporting. As a sideline reporter for Space City Home Network, she gained valuable experience covering Houston’s high school football scene, before expanding her role to in-game hosting with the Washington Nationals and UFL Roughnecks.

Kennedy’s passion for sports, particularly combat sports, was ignited while filming WWE: Next Gen, where she was offered a contract with WWE. However, she chose to forgo a wrestling career to continue her reporting journey, ultimately finding herself on the PFL stage. Her infectious energy and enthusiasm for sports make her a dynamic presence in the industry.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Professional Fighters League as a Cageside Reporter. The PFL’s World Tournament bracket is so innovative, and will give fans a chance to really get to know these fighters on a deeper level and root for them on their way up,” said Kennedy Smith. “I’m so excited to be the one to bring those stories to the world!”

Greg Hamilton, a TV host veteran of two decades and first ‘Live Event Host’ ever hired by WWE, will serve as SmartCage Announcer for the 2025 PFL World Tournament. Hamilton is a former ring announcer for Friday Night Smackdown on FOX, which saw him go on to perform in front of millions across the globe on six continents: including five WrestleMania’s and in two WWE video games. His excitement and tenacity will make him a valuable asset to the broadcast team.

“There’s never been anything like this in the world of MMA; so being chosen as the cage announcer is an incredible honor. It’s like the NCAA tournament meets combat sports. I was already excited about this as a fan, so when I got the call to be the cage announcer….I was numb for about 5 minutes and then the goosebumps started popping up on my arm. This is what my career has been leading up to,” said Greg Hamilton. “And now, having joined the PFL family, I cannot wait for fans to see what’s coming. The TV presentation alone is spectacular, and then you watch ‘PFL: Origins’ where we get the real stories behind each competitor and you realize that terms like “One Shot” aren’t hyperbolic; these are real people with real lives, putting everything on the line. When it’s over, it’s over. Period. If that type of competition doesn’t excite you, check your pulse!”

Professional Fighters League will kick off its 2025 World Tournament this week, showcasing the Welterweight and Featherweight divisions. Jason Jackson will face off against Andrey Koreshkov in the main event, while Jesus Pinedo returns to the SmartCage for the first time since winning the Featherweight strap in 2023 against Adam Borics. With over $20 million in total prize money, including a $500,000 bonus for every winner, the stakes have never been higher. Fans can follow the action live in 190 countries and on ESPN platforms in the U.S., where elbows will be fully permitted in all bouts. This “one shot” single-elimination format delivers the purest test in MMA, ensuring every fight matters on the path to crowning the next PFL champions.
