CAREER NOTES
Taylor "Double Impact" Lapilus is one of the most threatening bantamweights in Europe and one of the most accomplished new additions to the Professional Fighters League roster. The Villepinte, France native fights out of MMA Factory in Paris and stands among the most credentialed 135 pound fighters on the international circuit. Taylor Lapilus is a southpaw with a deep technical toolbox: clean striking, a heavy submission catalog, and the kind of fight IQ that has carried him through stops in the UFC, Ares FC, and now the PFL. A UFC veteran across two stints with the world's largest MMA promotion, he signed with PFL in 2025 to chase what his career has been building toward all along, a world title at 135 pounds. Today he sits as one of the most dangerous bantamweight contenders on any PFL card he features on.
Lapilus turned professional in 2012 and built his record across the deepest stretch of the European bantamweight scene. He has held championship gold across three different regional promotions, including the German MMA Championship bantamweight title, the TKO Major League MMA bantamweight title, and the Ares FC bantamweight title. He fights as a complete mixed martial artist, with technical southpaw striking, sharp takedown defense, and a submission game that has accounted for six career sub wins through guillotines, a triangle, armbars, and a rear naked choke. His base style is patient and intelligent, controlling distance with crisp counters and reading opponents into mistakes before he capitalizes. He made his UFC debut in 2015 and returned to the promotion for a second stint between 2023 and 2024, scoring wins over Caolan Loughran, Cody Stamann, and Vince Morales before parting ways with the organization. In 2025, Lapilus signed with PFL, bringing one of the most polished European resumes in the sport into the PFL bantamweight division.
Lapilus made his PFL debut in July 2025 at PFL Europe 2, defeating Ali Taleb by unanimous decision in his first appearance under the PFL banner. He returned at PFL Europe 4 in Lyon last December, taking a unanimous decision over Liam Gittins to extend his momentum. His February 2026 outing at PFL Dubai delivered his statement performance to date, as he stopped Kasum Kasumov with a punishing ground and pound finish in the third round and called for a PFL bantamweight title shot directly into the cage microphone. Earlier in his career, Lapilus captured Ares FC bantamweight gold and put together one of the most consistent winning runs of any European bantamweight in recent memory. His UFC catalog includes a hard fought decision win over Cody Stamann that he has called the biggest victory of his career, along with decision wins over Caolan Loughran and Vince Morales, the latter in his home country at UFC Paris. The result is one of the most polished resumes in the bantamweight division and a fighter who can win in any phase of the fight. He is exactly the kind of fighter the PFL bantamweight division was built to feature.
