Costello van Steenis: The Dutch Submission Maestro

Hailing from the charming town of Vlaardingen in South Holland, Costello van Steenis began his MMA journey at 17. Armed with determination and raw talent, the Dutch fighter made his professional debut in 2014, quickly racking an impressive 6-1 record in his first seven fights.

By 2017, Van Steenis had etched his name into the history books, capturing the PLMMA Middleweight title with a standout performance that showcased his immense potential. That same year, he burst onto the Bellator scene with a stunning debut, submitting Steve Skrzat via a first-round triangle choke.

Renowned for his submission skills, Van Steenis has a flair for the extraordinary. In a recent bout, he executed a rare Von Flue choke against Gregory Babene at the Bellator Champion Series in France, a victory that left fans and fellow fighters in awe.

With a 7-2 record in Bellator, Van Steenis trains alongside MMA royalty, including former Bellator Middleweight Champion Gegard Mousasi, fine-tuning his craft in one of the sport’s elite camps.
