In PFL Europe’s second non-season Bantamweight bout, Manchester’s Lewis McGrillen squares off in a grudge match against Salih Kulucan. Kulucan returns to the cage after nearly four years away from fighting, and only two of his 13 career fights have gone the distance. Five of his six wins are finishes. McGrillen has been perfect since turning pro, having won all six of his fights by knockout, five of which have come in the first round. Many at the Vertu Motors Arena are here to see the up-and-coming McGrillen.

Round 1

Love a fight between two guys who just don’t like each other. Both fighters sprint to the center of the cage and it’s Lewis McGrillen who lands the first significant strike, staggering Salih Kulucan early. McGrillen didn’t chase the early finish there, as he’s dominating space and tempo early on.

Kulucan recovers with a single-leg takedown but can’t keep McGrillen on the mat for long, as the Manchester native gets back to his feet quickly and gets back to work with the hands. Kulucan has no answer for Lewis McGrillen strikes, uppercuts and body shots landing throughout.

McGrillen lands a huge left hand across the chin of Salih Kulucan to end this fight in round one. Kulucan really never had a foothold in the fight, McGrillen proves his hype is very real.
