Saeed Alhosani is a grappling specialist, focused on trying to be tactical while in action and looking to develop an all-around skillset. Alhosani made his amateur MMA debut in 2022, losing to Damien McKenna.

 

A blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Talal Alqallaf will look to use his grappling training and experience to his advantage here. Alqallaf made his amateur MMA debut in 2022 as well, defeating Yazan Al Zein.

Round 1

 

Low kick from Alhosani to start. Alqallaf responds in kind. Inside leg kick from Alhosani. Alqallaf feints with the left and the right. Lead left hook from Alhosani. Both men land a jab. The two swing away heavily near the fence, and Alhosani is dropped! He gets back on his feet somehow, but Alqallaf grabs a hold of him. Alqallaf with the takedown.

 

Alqallaf looking to control the position, with the two of them now against the fence. Alhosani with the Whizzer to get back to his feet. He’s still in the body lock, however, and Alqallaf lands a knee to the thigh. Alqallaf with the mat return, landing right hands as Alhosani tries to get back to his feet. Another mat return for Alqallaf, who gets into side control. Alqallaf now in half guard, landing left hands to the head of Alhosani. Alhosani gets back to his feet by the bell.

 

 

 

Round 2

 

Low kick from Alhosani. Body kick misses for Alhosani. One-two from Alqallaf. Alqallaf gets the body lock again, and pins Alhosani to the fence once more. Left hand from Alqallaf. Alhosani frees himself, but Alqallaf lands a harsh right to the neck before a return to the body lock.

 

Alhosani lands a few knees to the body. The two return to the center after Alhosani tried to get a strong hold of Alqallaf’s neck. Low kicks from Alhosani. One-two misses for Alhosani, but he lands a lead body kick. Alqallaf with another right hand and a body lock. Alqallaf easily scores another takedown. Alqallaf has a hold of Alhosani’s back at the end of the round.

 

 

Round 3

 

The two exchange a hug in the center. Alhosani with a solid combination. The two trade knees in the clinch, as Alqallaf presses Alhosani to the fence yet again. Alqallaf loses his balance on a throw attempt, and Alhosani jumps down into top position. Alqallaf gets to his feet. Alhosani looks for a mat return, but Alqallaf reverses and gets on top.

 

Alqallaf with some struggle, but he’s eventually able to get Alhosani’s shoulders off the fence. Alhosani works his way back there, but Alqallaf appears to have control of Alhosani’s legs. Referee calling for more activity twice in the bout’s final minute. Alhosani gets back to his feet, but Alqallaf lands a few left hands before the bell.
