Tarek Suleiman’s combat journey began with boxing before becoming an MMA pro in 2012. Suleiman has competed for various regional MMA promotions and became a regional light heavyweight champion in 2019. Suleiman, also a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, last fought in October, defeating Ole Magnor.

 

Ahmed Samy is a strong finisher, scoring finishes in eight of his 11 victories in his MMA career, which began in 2013. Samy, a former regional welterweight champion, holds a pair of wins over 2024 PFL MENA Welterweight Champion Omar El Dafrawy. Samy last fought in February, dropping a decision to Yousri Belgaroui.

Eye poke brings a pause to the fight within the first 10 seconds. Suleiman shoots in for a takedown. Samy looks for a choke. Suleiman gets to his back and forces Samy to the fence. Samy is turned around, but Suleiman still looking for the takedown. Some right hands from Samy. Sami warned for grabbing the fence, and Suleiman manages to score a takedown. Samy tries to get up, but Suleiman goes for a guillotine choke. Samy pops his head out as he lands a pair of knees and ends up on top on the ground. Samy transitions over to side control. Samy’s corner calls for something, and Sami is trying for a submission from side control but cannot get it.

 

Sami lands a couple of shots to the head of Suleiman and he’s going for that side choke submission again. Samy with a strong right hand. Samy gets Suleiman into a crucifix, and Samy is landing down several strong elbows. Samy landing several shots to the body. Suleiman looks to re-position, but Samy is delivering strong ground-and-pound. A couple of warnings from the referee for Suleiman to move. Suleiman is saved by the bell…or is he?!?
